About Hoi

Hoi’s Story

Hoi grew up in a trilingual household in British Colonial Hong Kong, with a father from Shanghai and a mother from Beijing, speaking Cantonese, Mandarin, and Shanghainese.

At 17, Hoi embarked on his first overseas trip, spending seven weeks in the USA. He later participated in a two-year exchange program at the University of Minnesota.

Fascinated by Japanese culture, Hoi moved to Japan, where he spent seven years developing patience, attention to detail, and a self-driven initiative.

In 2012, Hoi spent two years in the UK. Inspired by the vibrant IT atmosphere, he taught himself IT and developed Jendoux, a large-scale web application to assist with speed reading. While Jendoux did not expand as hoped, it taught him essential skills in building websites and applications.

After years in the UK, US, and Japan, Hoi became fluent in English and Japanese. Returning to Hong Kong, he began helping SMEs with technical problems and international business. He successfully cleared the cultural boundary between China, Japan and Hong Kong, and made deals across the countries, gaining diverse knowledge in sectors such as marketing, real estate, trading, insurance, fintech, and tourism.

Due to the 2020 Hong Kong protests, Hoi settled in England, where he worked as a Japanese Customer Technical Support and later a Database Automation Engineer at bet365.

In 2024, he started his business again, focusing on automation solutions for SMEs to bridge the gap between traditional companies and the digital era. Hoi is committed to giving more than he receives and uniting people globally.
